Beautiful Easter, Beautiful You~Part II

Step 1.  Pretty box

Beautiful Easter Part II

For some reason that year we drove a pickup truck borrowed from my dad's work for the hour long drive to Grandma's.  Heading back at the end of the weekend with three kid's Easter loot made for a tight squeeze.  I remember my dad carefully placing our  baskets and giant stuffed bunnies in the back, assuring our little worried hearts that our bunnies would be fine.

They were not fine.  I can't recall whether it was mine, my sister's or both-I just remember a bunny flying out the back of the truck at about 60 mph. Oh the horror!  I'm totally laughing at the memory now but I'm pretty sure I was screaming bloody murder at the time.

The vivid image of my dad in the rain dodging cars on Interstate 80 to save a couple of stuffed bunnies from becoming Easter roadkill is priceless.  He could've taken the easy way out and promised to buy us another the next day-but instead, he literally risked life and limb to make sure our Easter ended on a happy note.  Way to go dad...that's the day you became my hero.

Now it's your turn to be an Easter hero by blessing someone's day.  In this post you will find everything you need to send your guests home with a to-go box fit for a king, surprise your elderly neighbor who has no family near, or bless your pastor or anyone else in your life that could use a lift.  We all know someone that would never forget this little love gesture.  The whole thing costs about 12 dollars but will make you feel like a million bucks.  Get your kids involved-they will have a blast knowing that their little dyed egg creations are going to bless Mrs. so and so or be the surprise take home after Easter dinner!

See Step 1 above, then scroll down for the rest.  And don't forget to read all the way to the bottom for Part II of how Easter makes YOU beautiful...

 Beautiful You Part II

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
That's it.  We don't have to strive to be free of our past with it's guilt & shame.  Christ did that for us.  For me.  For you.  Not that it is all instant, sometimes healing comes in waves.  But that's where GRACE comes in. Christ came to save us, not to condemn us. (John 3:17)  So while we wander earth waiting for heaven, trying to move on and forget-we can rest knowing that He has already forgotten. And by FAITH, we can leave the old and embrace the new.   Beautiful us.
